Ulvo Ensemble releases their debut record ”The sound of rain needs no translation” on the 25th of August 2008. One can write thousands of words describing the sound of rain, but one never comes closer to the experience itself. The same goes for the music on this record. Rather creating music within a specific genre, this music is a mixture of many influences. The result is a musical landscape where jazz, classical and traditional music all are natural parts. All music is composed by Andreas Ulvo.

Ulvo Ensemble is pianist Andreas Ulvo’s first record in his own name. He has also worked with bands like Shining, Eple Trio, Solveig Slettahjell Slow Motion Quintet, Mathias Eick Quartet, Frøy Aagre Offbeat and Thom Hell.
